Waste Gas Treatment Equipment is designed to remove harmful pollutants (e.g., VOCs, acidic gases, particulate matter, odorous compounds) from industrial exhaust streams. Common technologies include scrubbersthermal oxidizersactivated carbon adsorbersbiofilters, and electrostatic precipitators, tailored to meet emission regulations (e.g., EPA, EU Industrial Emissions Directive).

Key Technologies & Advantages

  1. Acid Gas Scrubbers
Neutralize HCl, SOx, NOx using alkaline solutions (e.g., NaOH) with >99% removal efficiency.
  2. Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs)
Destroy VOCs at 800–1,200°C with 95–99% thermal efficiency via heat recovery.
  3. Activated Carbon Adsorption
Capture low-concentration pollutants (e.g., benzene, mercury) with customizable pore structures.
  4. Biofiltration
Degrade organic odors (e.g., H2S, ammonia) using microbial colonies—ideal for low-energy, sustainable operations.
  5. Plasma Catalytic Systems
Break down complex molecules (e.g., dioxins) via non-thermal plasma and catalysts.

Applications

  • Chemical Plants: Chlorine, ammonia, and solvent emissions.
  • Metal Processing: Fume extraction from smelting, galvanizing.
  • Pharmaceuticals: Ethanol, acetone recovery.
  • Waste-to-Energy: Dioxin and particulate control in incinerators.

How to choose between RTOs and catalytic oxidizers for VOC treatment?

RTOs: Best for high VOC concentrations (>1,500 ppm) and variable flow rates. Achieve ≥99% destruction with 85–95% heat recovery.

  • Catalytic Oxidizers: Operate at lower temps (300–500°C), ideal for steady, low-concentration streams. Avoid catalysts if gas contains poisons (e.g., sulfur, silica).

Can scrubbers handle corrosive gases like HF or Cl2?

Yes. Our FRP/PVDF-lined scrubbers with PTHE packing resist corrosion. For HF, we use dual-stage scrubbing:

  1. Water spray to absorb HF.
  2. Lime slurry neutralization to convert residuals to CaF2 sludge (meeting OSHA PEL <3 ppm).

How to ensure compliance with emission standards (e.g., China’s GB 16297)?

Systems integrate real-time CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring) for parameters like PM2.5, NOx, and SO2. Data is logged and reported in formats compliant with local regulations. For GB 16297, we guarantee outlet concentrations:

  • Particulates: ≤20 mg/m³
  • HCl: ≤30 mg/m³
  • VOCs: ≤50 mg/m³.
